Boston Creme Cake Surpreme

  • 1 pkg. yellow cake mix
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 (4oz.) pkg. vanilla regular pudding mix
  • 1/2 cup oleo, melted
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 4 cups milk

Combine 2 cups dry cake mix and oleo; mix until crumbly. Press in bottom of 9x13 inch pan. Cook pudding mix and milk as directed on package; pour hot mixture over unbaked crust in pan. Combine remainder of cake mix, water and eggs; mix as directed on package. Pour over hot pudding in pan. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 30-35 minutes or until top springs back when lightly touched. Frost with glaze while still warm

Glaze:

  • 1 square unsweetened chocolate
  • 2-3 Tbsp. water
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 Tbsp. oleo
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

Melt chocolate, oleo and water together; add sugar and vanilla. Beat until smooth. Frost cake; let cool several hours or overnight.

This is what I'll be cooking today for our Christmas Eve family get-together tomorrow night.

If you don't hear from me again, it means I've burned my house down.
