sondheimmcgeekSo I thought being in Chicago meant I would escape Mardi Gras, one of the holidays I hate the most.
Really, I did. I mean, yes some people were wearing Mardi Gras beads, but they weren't flashing for them or fighting over them. Yes, the cafeteria was decked out in true Mardi Gras fashion, but it wasn't to point of annoycance. Not to mention, I won't be kept up by the sound of a parade passing by.
Granted, I don't get off of school...but I can live.
I think it's hilarious that some people brag (not talk, but actually brag) about how open-minded they are because they are accepting of homosexuals and AIDS victims, but the second someone has an opinion which clashes with their own, they pull out their claws, lashing out with things like "Idiot" and "You have zero taste." It is quite amusing.
