Ok, let us begin with friday:
Went up to UNO for spring testing. Check-in was at 7:15, so I had to wake up at 5:30 am. I don't even get up that early for school! Well, first was my math test *sigh* I'm not much of a math person in case you couldn't tell...
Next, was the English test. This involved choosing from two topics and then writing an essay, at least 400 words, on that topic. The one I chose had to do with where the blame should lay for obesity: the consumer of the environment we live in. I said it was a little of both. The other one I could have chosen was whether it was an invasion of rights that in Florida police were keeping certain rappers under surveillance.
So, after that my mother and I has lunch and then I had to fill out a 100 question survey thing about certain things. Both the survey and the math test were scantrons (the kind where you have to meticulously fill in little circles) so my hand was very cramped *grabs hand in pain*
On saturday, I had to return yet again to register for classes. First we had to listen to some extremely boring speeches being given *snore*. There was one about FAFSA which was especially bad:
Me:*looking up after the speech was over* Mom, I hope you were listening, cause I sure as hell wasn't!
So then we had to do a bunch of other crap, we had lunch, and then I was off to get my test results:
Math: no credits (surprise, surprise)
English: 3 hours of credit (WOOT!)
Then, we were taken to be advised on classes to take. I basically came up with this:
English 1159
Math 1031-Survey of Mathematical Thought (basically, it's figuring out puzzles and stuff. According to my mom it's a piece of cake)
DRCM 1005-Intor to Theater
DRCM1006-Intro to Theater Lab (they must be taken concurrently, and they are the prerequisite for basically all of the other DRCM courses, so I figured I should take them as soon as possible)
Phys some number- Inrto to Astronomy (one of the few sciences I actually like)
Italian some number-Basic Italian I
I wanted to also take a Human Sexual Behavior class, but it was between that and Italian, so I choose Italian.
So I go to register, wait in a loooooooooong line (apparently they were having problems with the computers), and finally get there. When I enter my DRCM courses, it won't add it to my schedule. Apparently, I need to go to the Performing Arts dept. and have myself put on the list because you need teacher approval.
What?
It sure as hell didn't say that in the book. Usually, if you need approval, it'll say that. *sigh* So that's just more crap to deal with...
Anywho, I got to see John Mangepano (sp?) and Christina Calamia, both of whom I attended grade school with, as well as Monica, a girl I went to NOCCA with.
Got home, rented School of Rock (and by the was it was awesome so *sticks out tongue at girls in class*)
TOday I went to see The Passion of Christ. Now, as I've said before, I love horror movies and can watch them over and over. But I had to turn my head away at some parts. I even started to cry *shudder* It was very moving to say the least. It was well made.
I am exhausted. Thank the Lord we are off tomorrow! So, I will leave you with this very cool quiz created by Jillie!
