Apr. 6th, 2004 03:53 pmWhat friggin' genius thought up daylight savings time anyway!?
Idiot who thought up DST: Hey I know! Let's have a day once a year where we push the clocks forward, thus losing an entire hour. Then everyone in the entire world will be completely messed up inside. Their clocks will be telling them it is 6:00am, but their bodies will be telling them it's 5:00am! And then in 6 months, we'll put the clocks back to where they had been originally, once again screwing up everyone's internal clocks! Wow, how could I not have thought this up sooner?!?! *Colleen enters with her handy-dandy machine gun and blows the snot out of the little sucker*
Ack, it annoys me!
Well, on a completely different topic, we got our senior progress reports today. *looks at her progress report* Uh...yeah. Looks like senioritis is kicking in:
Religion: She wasn't here today, but I've gotten all A's in her class, so I'm assuming it is an A
Advanced Math: 57 (Technically, that i only 3 points away from a D because we are on 10 point grading scale. Still, it's not too good. But I got a B on the test, it was just the stupid quiz that brought me down!)
Civics: 94 (Exemption here I come!)
Physics: 54 (Well we've only had one quiz, and I got a 70 on it, and one test, which I got a not so good grade on. I am trying though, and I'm pretty sure he knows that?)
Journalism: 100 (woo!)
Anatomy and Physiology: 96 (see above)
English: 85 (That's damn good considering most people are not doing so well in this class. We've only had an article summary, which I believe I got an 83 on, an essay, which I got an 88 on, and a vocab quiz which I got a 96 on)
All in all, it's not too bad, but it's not great compared to my report card for 3rd quarter. * sigh* Only 16 more days left!
Quote of the Day:
*While taking the make-up Civics test this morning*
Tucker: So...uh...just write the...uh... definitions for those words...and uh...explain how a bill becomes a law and...uh...I'll be back in a sec
Sauro: So basically, you're just making this up as you go alone, right?
Tucker: No, actually your mama was up with me last night helping me! Now shut up and take the test!
*Side note: I have to point out that Tucker used rided as the past participle tense of ride...yeah*
