(no subject)

So, saturday was prom. Got up at 8am to go to my hair appointment. My appointment was at 9:15 and pictures for dance were at 10:30, so I was cutting it close. Luckily, I made it though.

My aunt came over at 3:30 to do my make-up. She went to beauty school, so she knows what she's doing.

Jim came over at about 5. Went to tigerchic01 's house to take pictures and wait for the limo. I get there and she informs me that Kevin (remember the guy I didn't like?) called and asked if he could ride in our limo. She said there was no more room. So he invited himself to follow us in his car and eat with us before prom. *sigh*[Unknown site tag]

captainsjournal showed up in her very, very large yellow gown (go to her LJ to see it. I know she put some pictures up)

Left and went to Cheesecake Bistro. 

After leaving, we spent some time just driving around. We had fun playing "Spot the Tourist". It's pretty easy really. Mardi Gras beads, fanny packs, and cameras are, of course, a dead giveaway.

Got to prom. Basically all they played was rap (surprise, surprise). Finally, I went and requested Frank Sinatra and "Footloose" (at the junior prom they played "Footloose" and I taught the line dance to Jim, but by the time he finally got it, it was over, so he really wanted them to play it)

DJ: This one goes out to the beautiful young lady who asked me to play Sinatra.

Everyone leaves the dance floor, except Jim and me, and maybe two other couples. He played "The Way You Look Tonight" *sigh* Memories! Jim and I danced, complete with spins and a dip at the end.

Meanwhile, Matt Nunez (who had come with Shannon) told Graig Crovetto he's pay him $5 if he could get a slow dance with one of the waitresses. Jim said he'd throw in an extra $2 if Graig got a phone number. Never happened though.

Eventually, they played "Footloose". Jim and I went out there a did the line dance. Amazingly, all the "cool" people looked at us, come out next to us and tried to follow what we were doing.

Prom queen was Alicia Hotard and prom king was Ryan Boudreaux. I didn't get prom queen *snap* oh darn!

As prom was coming to an end, I requested "Something" (I'm a George Harrison girl!)

We got back at about 1:45am. Brought Jim home, and then went to tigerchic1's house. Most of us watched Spaceballs. But I fell asleep around 4am.

Woke up at 10am, went home, and proceeded to sleep until 7pm.

That was my wonderful night! I will try to get pictures up soon!
