Apr. 11th, 2006 08:00 pmI got up at 8:00 am to go apartment hunting with Emily and Tegan. We went to River City condos (on Wells) and looked at a one-bedroom suite. I'ts managable for three of us, but it isn't ideal. It's a good price, though, and it seems like a nice place.
We went to check out the place Tegan wanted, which was right by the theater building. It was beautiful. It really was. But it would have been about $600 each, which is not do-able for me.
I told Emily as we were walking back (Tegan had to run to class) that I was going to be paying my rent, not my parents. Apparently I hadn't told her and Tegan that, so she realized we could not do $600 per. We're planning to look at the one on Lake next week. Emily said it's nice and $437 each. The only thing is we aren't positive we'll be able to get something, though they said two bedrooms were easier to get than studios, so...*crosses fingers*
I registered for classes yesterday, btu I was having trouble getting into Text Analysis. It said I hadn't completed the pre-requisites for it (English comp 1 and comp 2) but I had. Then I realized I had completed them at UNO, and Columbia still didn't have my transcript. Luckily, I was able to get it worked out. Classes I'm taking next semester:
-Text Analysis
-Acting II: Advanced Scene Study for Musical Theater
-Rehearsal Lab
-Sightsinging, Musicianship, and Ear Training I (SMET)
-Theory, Harmony, and Analysis I (THA)
-Techniques in Singing I
-Musical Theater Dance II
