I watched Love Actually last night with Tegan and Emily. God, I love that movie. It's strange because it's seems like such a "chick flick" film (which it is I guess) and I normally hate those kinds of things. Well, at least as of late. "Chick flicks" pre 1975 or so (i.e. Breakfast at Tiffany's) I love.

Anyway, as we were watching near the end (as Sam runs through the airport to Johanna) Tegan told us about the deleted scene section. Apparently Sam was originally supposed to be this great gymnast and as he ran through the airport, he would randomly do acrobatics to escape from the guards. They put what they had filmed in the deleted scenes section, but they cut that bit out early and never really fine tuned and edited what they had filmed of it. So basically you see this eleven year old kid running through and airport and then, when he does the acrobats, you can tell it's a stunt double because he's suddenly two feet taller! Seriously, he's suddenly doing cartwheels and swinging on apropo uneven bars and he's taller than I am.

I also started re-reading Perks of Being a Wallflower last night. I had forgotten how great that book is. I mean you can't forget it's great, but I forgot just how great. Makes me want to stand up in the back of a pick-up truck in a dress while rushing through a tunnel. Preferably while "Asleep" blasts from inside the truck.

I haven't heard from the guys at Chicago University (or is it University of Chicago?) about my HMS Pinafore audition. They told Tegan they were going to call everyone, regardless of whether they made it or not. Also haven't heard from Porchlight about my Ragtime audition, but then again I really didn't expect to get into that. Though I fucking rocked at my audition, and I don't often feel that way. As soon as I walked in, the director(?) said "This girl has prepared one of our favorite songs" (He Plays the Violin). And I sounded damn good. Much better than I think I've ever sounded on that song. So win or lose, I can at least be proud of that.

Now I need to go out and start applying for jobs. Hopefully something turns up soon. Granted I'm going to be getting a hefty sum of money, but it would be nice to have more coming in while I wait.

Bad news: Today I get to start the ever wonderful cycle known as my period.

Good news: I have no obligations or set plans for this week, so if I should feel the need to stay in bed due to pain, discomfort, bloating, laziness or the such, I can do so without a worry in the world.

Also, someone must be tapping into my dreams or something because Hannah (my roommate from last year) is hosting a 20's style party at her apartment in a couple of weeks. It's for someone's birthday who I don't know, but she invited me. I have a perfect dress. Now I have to decide on shoes (the black ones or the tan characters?), what to do with my hair (sorry, but I'm not getting a bob for this party so I'll have to make do) and make-up.
