So, how did I spend my 4th of July? Well, I'm glad you asked!

First I did a little grocery shopping. After I ate some lunch, I went to a Dunkin' Donuts because I had a coupon for a 99 cent soft serve ice cream cone.

I walked to Nordstram rack because there was a sale going on. I ended up getting a top for $27 and a head scarf for about $5.

I knew that I wanted to get dinner from somewhere because it was the 4th of July, so I went up to this place called Heaven on Seven which claims to serve authentic New Orleans food. I'd never been there and I wanted to see if they were still open. They were, so I walked home to deposit my shopping bag and get some money. I decided to call in an order from there than walk to pick it up. I got a Cajun Burger with fries and gumbo and bread pudding. The bread pudding was...well...disappointing. I mean, I've definitely had better. Of course, it's hard to do better than Commander's Palace.

I came home and got all excited because 1776 was coming on Turner Classic Movies. So Robert Osbourne was introducing it:

Him: Now before they released the film to theaters, Warner had a private screening...

Me: With Richard Nixon.

Him: ...with his good friend Richard Nixon...

Me: Made him remove Cool, Considerate Men

Him:...who objected to one of the film's songs. Warner removed it and trimmed a few other scenes Nixon objected to. Well, don't tell Mr. Nixon...

Me: O.O! OMG ARE THEY GOING TO SHOW THE ENTIRE FILM?!?!?!

Him:...but we've inserted these scenes back into the film for tonight's viewing.

Me: *parades around apartment*

Seriously, though, I was so excited because Cool, Considerate Men is one of my favorite songs from the stage show. Also, seeing some of trimmed scenes made some of the continuity much clearer.

Here is further proof that I am a nerd:

So today at work I had to go get change for my register. Now American Girl Place is huge, so I really don't know anyone else who works there outside of cafe. When I get to the service desk (where I go to get change) I notice that the nametag of the guy getting my change reads "D'artagnan."

Me: If you don't mind my asking, are you named after The Three Musketeers?

Him: Haha, as a matter of fact I am :)

Girl working with him: Really? I didn't know that!

Me: Yeah...I'm a literature nerd.

Him *as I'm walking away*: So what's your name?

Me: Oh, Colleen. Yeah, it's not literary.

Him: *laughs*

Me: *laughs* *then thinks "were we flirting?"*
