I got up today at 9:30 to go to voice. As I put my U-pass in the thing to get on the El, it was rejected. Apparently, it was no longer valid and I was supposed to get a new one for this semester.
Voice was fine, and I sounded really good (I think).
I had class from 2:00 until 6:00 and my Ragtime audition was at 6:30, so I went straight there. The choreographer was out and wouldn't be back until 8:30, so we had to do our vocal audition and then wait/come back at 8:30.
My vocal audition (They Say That Falling in Love is Wonderful) went nicely. They smiled and told me that it was nice. Then they asked me to go up the scale so they could hear my range (which, they said, was impressive). Tegan, Danielle, Catherine and I went to the basement to sit and talk until it was 8:30.
The dance audition went well, I think. After he taught us the combination and had us do it a few times, he broke us up into three groups. I think he put me in the group with the really good dancers, so maybe that's a good sign...*shrugs*
The callback list goes up tomorrow morning and then singing callbacks are tomorrow night. We have to sing two contrasting songs. Callbacks on Saturday are monologue callbacks. I know a lot of people have conflicts with the rehearsal and performance schedule, especially the fact that we'll have rehearsals over Spring Break (i.e. no going home if you aren't form Chicago), so...maybe I have a better chance...?
