May. 2nd, 2004 09:14 pmHello kiddies! Wow, it's been about a week since I last updated! Where should I start?
Thursday, April 29: Pippin opened. It went so-so. I almost fell. See, there are steps which lead up to the throne. They are on wheels so it is easier to move around. During "Morning Glow" I was walking up, the wheels weren't locked, and it wobbled a bit. According to Dana (Catherine) Ashley (Stage Manager) was running around backstage saying "Oh my God! Colleen fell! We need an ambulance!"
Friday, April 30- Last official day of school for seniors. We were allowed to bring video cameras and write on each other's school shirts. Dana and I sang "Living on a Prayer" for morning announcements. The cast of Pippin sang "No Time At All" for morning announcements. I found out I was exempt from 4 exams (Religion, Civics, Journalism, and Biology) which means I only have to take English, Physics, and Advanced Math. Yes, all was going great until that after noon.
See, this year the administration said girls were not allowed to have anything written on the fronts of their shirts. Well some had things written a little below their shoulder. Alisha had a streak going across her chest. When they asked her who did it, she didn't say at first, but finally admitted that Vincent Denoux did it, but both she and he claimed it was an accident. If you look at it, it really looks like an accident. But Humphries said he didn't believe them. So Denoux has to go before discipline board. He was told last time her got in trouble, if he had to go before discipline board again he'd be expelled. They probably will have him take his exams, give him his diploma, and not allow him to walk across the stage at graduation. As for the seniors, we were not allowed to do the senior count down (where we stand in the office and count down the last 10 seconds until the bell rings to end school). Yeah, it's a stupid tradition, but it's a tradition nonetheless. We were also told we would have a senior meeting on monday to discuss our senior privileges for the rest of the year (meaning prom). We cannot wear our senior shirts on monday, we must wear our full uniforms.
I would like to take this moment to tell my school one thing: FUCK YOU!
Had a show that night, went fine, went to The Breakfast Club after.
Saturday, May 1- Got up to be at dance rehearsal for 10am. We went over the entire show. Went to get Ashley and Ms. Garland gifts. Went to school for the show. All hell broke loose because certain people were not respecting Ashley's authority as Stage Manager and she almost quit.
I swear, they have no idea how much she has to do to make sure the show goes smoothly and yet they treat her like utter shit. And then they get mad when she screams at them to be quiet during the show.
Sunday, May 2- Got up to be at Roje's for 9:15 am for the Senior Parent brunch. Talked, cried, ate, watched the slide show of everyone's baby pics.
Got to school for our last performance, my last performance at Hannan *tear...no not really* Went well. Went to cast party at Dana's house.
I'm exhausted, so i must bid you adieu!
