Ok first things first...
This is a story I have entitled "the High School Principal Who Went To far" *clears throat*
Ok, since nearly the beginning of this year, the juniors in our school have had a "We Hate The Seniors" attitude. Not all of them but most of them. What really triggered what has happened since goes back to before Mardi Gras. The juniors informed our principal that "the seniors weren't school spirited because hardly any of them went to the basketball games." They said they were going to step up and "take over" the leadership of the school. The whole senior class had a talk with our principal which lasted an entire class period. We explained we can't always make all the games, but when we do, we always try to get people pepped up
At the next basketball game, it was filled with seniors. Barely any juniors were there. Basically, they were all talk, no action types.
Well, for the auction every year, they need about 50 students to volunteer to work the auction boards. Our principal decided to further fuel the dispute between the two classes and first give the opportunity to seniors. So we could "prove" our school spirit. Eleven seniors signed up.
At mass, he berated us for this, and asked the juniors to "take the leadership since we were not willing to." He neglected to mention the fact that many of the seniors are on the track team, and there is a meet that very night thus preventing many from signing up. I also know seniors who were planning to sign up that day at lunch, but after what he did, they were enraged and didn't.
Why are we punished for this? Doesn't he know this is only further isolating our two classes from each other? I worked the auction last year and freshman year (on my birthday no less). Does that mean nothing to him? What about the 10 or 11 charities the seniors have sponsored this year? He totally disregards that because we can't make it to the auction and help make him more money! Currently, we are collecting used cell phones for charity. The juniors refuse to donate because it is a charity being put together by the seniors. O.O What the hell? Does that make sense?
Well, I graduate on May 13, so at this point I no longer really give shit. I can say, though, that I plan to write one hell of a senior essay!
*takes deep breath and steps off of her soap box*

Before I go...I need help. See, I have plans to write a story. It'll be told from Specs (Newsies, for anyone not aware) point of view. He will be the stage manager of a high school production of Into the Woods. It'll basically be all the experiences I've had in theater (both high school and other) and it'll be dedicated to Ashley Generose, our stage manager who has to put up with shit from everyone. He'll deal with bitchy people, untalented people, etc. I plan to have a major casting call. I need a title. All suggestions are welcome. If I use yours, I'll give you full credit, a cookie, and I will love you forever. Thankies!
