Sep. 4th, 2005 09:09 pmSorry it's been so long. Right now I'm in plaqumine all settled in. My dad got back today, but it seems my mom had to report ot Dallas.
She may have to stay there for 6 months to a year.
Yeah...
I heard they may buy everyone out of St. Bernard. I don't blame them.
We may end up moving to Dallas. The government will give us an apartment. The biggest problem is we don't know if dogs are allowed in the apartment, and we cannot leave Phoenix behind.
My mom also mentioned Covington, which I wouldn't mind.
It looks like this will be an off semester. UNO won't be re-opening for a while and I'm not going to LSU. Even if I wanted to, we only have one vehicle (mine, my mom's, and my brother's are under water; my dad's is at the New orleans airport. He had to fly into Baton Rouge). If I end up moving to Dallas, I may just transfer schools. I'm also thinking of transfering somewhere else out of state (possibly USM. Possibly). Everything is just so screwed up right now. I can't think straight, really.
A little girl in North Carolina raised 4,000 dollars selling lemonade, bless her heart.
Also, God bless Ray Nagin. That poor man has been working his ass off since the beginning of this thing. He is staying in the Hyatt with no air condition and no running water.
And fuck miss Kathleen Blancowho needs 24 hours to make a decision while people's lives are at stake.
And fuck whomever says they shouldn't rebuild New Orleans. If you're rebuilding cities hurt by earthquakes, you can fucking rebuild New Orleans.
To any Chalmatians interested in knowing, Village Square was burned down. Yeah, I know it's not exactly a loss.
I'll try to get more info soon!

Date: 2005-09-05 02:53 am (UTC)Dallas is a cool city. I'm sure everything will work out for the best.
I think they should rebuild New Orleans too. We were thinking of organizing a mission trip in the spring to go and help.

PS Dennis Hastert is the idiot who thinks New Orleans shouldn't be rebuilt.
