So yesterady, Emily and I were blankly gazing out the window when I decided something.

Me: We should rearrange the furniture in here.

She agreed. Thus, we made plans to decorate our living area. As I think Sarah put it, it felt too much like a hotel. None if it seemed like it was ours; we were just guests (which in a sense, I guess we are).

We went to see a Modern Dance showing that Emily had a couple of friends in. I'm not very familiar with Modern Dance, but I thought it was good. Went out to get some coffee and then top Chinatown for some food. During this time, Emily came up with the idea of stringing up sheets right where the living room breaks off from the kitchen so that it could really be a separate part of the apartment.

On the El, Emily and I were singing Take Me or Leave Me and we got trash talked by some twelve year old kids. First they told us to shut the fuck up. When we didn't, they began shouting slanders at all of us as they left. These slanders I could not understand because I am not fluent in "Dumbass".

When we got back, we went about setting up the sheets. With four sheets, some tacks, some strink, and staples, Emily set it up (with some assistance) in no time. Much of the nigth was also spent watching the girl whose window is almost parallel with ours (only she's on the 5th floor)and who doesn't feel the need to close the window shades while she and her boyfriend prepare to have sex (nothing happened though. People kepy walking in and out of the room).

Most of the others (minus Colleen and Joe) went off to a party. With them gone, I went about rearranging the furniture. It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. I basically put the couch and coffee table at an angel. The desk (where the TV will go if we get one) also at an angel, not quite parallel with the couch and table. The chair was againt the wall, next to one of the shelves, while the other shelf was on the opposite wall.

I left a note on the door for when the others got home, asking what they thought. They got home minutes later, because there apparently had been no party. They did like the new set up though.

Hannah has been out of town since Wednesday, so I'm not sure if she'll like it.
