sondheimmcgeekLast night, Josh was begging all of us to go with him to get his right eyebrow pierced. Before we could do that, we got a message from Sarah saying her laptop had been stolen from her bedroom.
Ok. Sarah lives in another building near the UC with three roommates. One just moved in yesterday (seemed nice); one I haven't met, but her name is Niesha and apparently she has friends who are in gangs; one is named Ashley and is an uber bitch (I've met her). Sarah had stayed at our place the night before, so she hadn't found out it was stolen until that afternoon.
So when we got to her building, Ashley was at the front desk with her reporting the theft. Ashley kept saying Neisha had friends over last night, they had a van, and they went off to the 7-11 at one point. She also kept saying she didn't get back to the apartment until 4 am. The guy at the front desk told Sarah to go file a police report. Ashley insisted on coming with her (of course). While we waited for them to get their coats from their room, Emily, Brandon, and Shawne discussed that Ashley's facts didn't match up. She said she'd gotten back at 4 am, but Sarah had called her last night at 2 am and she was back. We didn't realize it, but Ashley's friend Luke was in the lobby and porbably heard them.
So we went to catch the bus to go to 18th. All the while Ashley is complaining about how much of a bitch Niesha is because she wouldn't go get the plunger with her. *pause* Ok, so today Ashley asked Niesha to go with her to get a plunger because their toilet was clogged. Niesha said she didn't want to. Ashley has been ranting about it non-fucking-stop. *play*
We get on the bus, but Ashley has no U-Pass. She decides to just put $5 into the thing and get her change from that.
Woman on the bus: Don't put that five in there. it doesn't give back change. (x5 for everytime Ashley ignored her)
Ashley put in the $5 and was pissed when she didn't get back change. She begins ranting at the bus driver whihle we stand behind her waiting to board the bus. The woman keeps saying "I told you not to put that in there" an Ashley is yelling about how she has to pay that money back, blah blah blah.
Finally she pushes on to the bus and pouts. The woman tells her to calm down, and Ashley just says she's having a bad day. (Uh, she's having a bad day?) I hear her say "I'm not pissed about the laptop, I'm just pissed about the plunger." Again with the fucking plunger!
We get to the police station, and as Sarah is talking to the woman (who was very sweet) Ashley keeps butting in with "Do you want me to tell her the story? Do you want em to tell her what happened? Do you want me to tell her what I saw?" The woman was getting confused because Ashley would not shut up. When it got to where she said "We got back at 4:15 ( again with the change of story)" Luke said "Well, more like 3:30." She glared at him and snapped, "Fine! 4:00!"
Now, Brandon suspects her reasons for lying is that she's trying to hide the fact that she was drinking (she's still only 17) because she's already on probation for it. She told the police woman there was no drinking, but then mentioned she went into Sarah's room to get the shot glasses.
Police woman: For the party where there was no drinking?
Ashley alos made it a point to tell the woman that Niesha's friends stole from the 7-11, despite the wmoan saying that wasn't an important detail (not to mention all they have to go on that is her word).
When we left, we decided to get Sarah's valuables from her apartment and bring them over to ours. She's going to try and get a room here. The security is much better. However, upon hearing that, Ashley decides she wants to move out too *eyeroll* She kept saying "I'm just so pissed off about the plunger!" Then as an afterthought would add "And about this situation."
We went with josh to get his piercing, which took about half an hour.
After we got everything settled at our place, we started making some mixed drinks. At one point, almost everyone went downstairs to smoke. I was alone with Josh.
Him: Are you drunk?
Me: No (Which was true)
Him: Ok, then I don't think I should ask this...
Me: You can ask whatever you want.
Him: When's the last time you had sex?
Me: Never
Him: O.O! Seriously?
What? No, I'm joking. Of course I'm serious. I explained that I was waiting until marriage. His response?
"Oh."
Now that wasn't an "Oh, that's cool." or an "Oh, I understand." That was an "Oh, another one of those kinds of people." It really pissed me off. I'm not sitting here judging him based on how much or little he has sex. I'm not preaching to him about how he should be like me and wait until marriage. I'm simply answering his question honestly.
Part of me just wanted to ask, "Josh, who the hell are you trying to impress?" I mean, he has to roll his own cigarette in front of people and he has to let people know how sexually active he is/has been. I. Don't. Care. I don't think you're "cool" for having had a lot of sex. I don't think you're "uncool" either. *sigh*
I feel a bit sick now. I don't know what it is.
